Luminaire couloir : faites le bon choix

Un luminaire couloir bien choisi transforme un simple passage en axe central de la maison.

Le luminaire couloir n’est pas un détail : il structure la circulation, sécurise les déplacements et valorise l’architecture. Dans un espace souvent étroit, bas de plafond ou sans fenêtre, la lumière doit être précise, homogène et sans éblouissement. Les formats les plus adaptés sont les plafonniers compacts (diamètre 20 à 40 cm, hauteur inférieure à 15 cm), les appliques murales plates ou les spots orientables. Un flux lumineux de 800 à 1500 lumens par 4 à 6 m² garantit une visibilité optimale, sans zones d’ombre. La température de couleur idéale se situe entre 2700K et 3500K pour un rendu chaleureux mais fonctionnel. Les modèles à diffusion indirecte évitent les reflets gênants sur les murs clairs ou les miroirs.

Quel type de luminaire couloir choisir ?

Plafonniers : Parfaits pour les couloirs bas (hauteur sous plafond < 2,5 m), ils offrent une lumière diffuse et couvrent uniformément la zone. Privilégiez un indice de rendu des couleurs (IRC) supérieur à 80 pour ne pas dénaturer les teintes des murs ou des œuvres accrochées. Les modèles LED de 12 à 18W sont recommandés pour un couloir standard.

Appliques murales : Idéales pour rythmer un long couloir ou mettre en valeur une niche. Installez-les à 160 cm du sol pour éviter l’éblouissement.
