The wall light is an essential lighting fixture for effective bathroom illumination and can play various roles thanks to the wide range of models available on the market, which can make choosing the right one quite challenging.
Which wall light for which location?
Bathroom wall lights can be positioned on the walls, in the shower, near the mirror or by the door. The right wall light should always be chosen to suit the placement. Above the washbasin, a mirror wall light is recommended—ideally positioned on either side of the mirror. However, if the mirror is particularly large or wide, it can also be fitted above it.
Picture wall lights can be mounted directly onto the item itself using a dedicated bracket, or onto the wall nearby. However, make sure that the light doesn’t dazzle you in this set-up. A light colour temperature close to daylight, between 3500 and 5000 kelvin, is ideal. Other wall-mounted models can be placed anywhere you wish, depending on the effect you want to create. The light intensity will depend on the other lamps you use and your personal preferences.
A bathroom wall light to brighten dark corners
Even with all your best efforts, your different lighting sources may not cover every corner of your bathroom. In this case, a lighting fixture for the bathroom can be a great solution. Simply direct the light towards poorly lit areas and mount it higher up to eliminate those dark spots.
Lighting fixtures that diffuse light both upwards and downwards are also ideal for this purpose.
Romantic, vintage or colourful: a wide choice of bathroom wall lights
Don’t just think about wall-mounted LED lights for their practical side—they can also set the mood, add colour or define a style. You’ll find a wide range of models on the market in pink, white and purple. Warm-coloured bulbs are also available if you want a soft, romantic, intimate feel. Some wall lights can be angled so you can create different shades and illuminate the walls with decorative highlights.
