What materials are best for globe lights?

Opal glass: Opal glass is the benchmark for a globe light that diffuses soft, glare-free light. A 30 cm hand-blown glass globe gives optimal lighting for a 10 to 15 m² room using an LED bulb of 800 to 1200 lumens. Frosted glass hides the bulb and prevents halos.
