How to choose the right desk lamp?

Even though it might be tempting to use just one main light in your office, it's not a great idea. A bulb strong enough to light the whole room will be far too harsh for your eyes.

When it comes to brightness, professionals recommend choosing a lamp with a colour temperature of between 2700 and 3000 Kelvin. This is a warm, yellowish light, very similar to natural sunlight.
